What to Expect

Greetings, dearest reader.

My design in creating this blog is to have a place to share resources and thought pieces on all things creative, historical, and revolutionary.

My aim is to post once a week or more, and the teacher & coach in me will always leave you with a next step, reflection prompt, or exercise you can try. Of course, you don’t have to try them, but they will be there for you if you want to take action.

I will try my best to alternate through the aforementioned topics and not stick too heavily to one or another, because variety is indeed the spice of life, but I also want to be able to respond to what’s happening in these realms.

Speaking of these different topics…

What have they got to do with one another? Quite a bit, as it happens.

Some of the overlap is quite obvious, such as historical and revolutionary. I do believe that our past informs our present, and that there are echoes of the past we will repeat again and again until we learn to do things differently.

Creativity… the act of shaping the world around us, is deeply connected to the past and revolution. And, when we create in other realms (writing, painting, singing, cooking, etc.), we unlock a part of ourselves that understands how to create the world in which we wish to live.

Also, creating and sharing with others builds cultural empathy. Furthermore, creations can also provide respite from the challenging work of revolution, of building a better world.

So, all of these are intertwined.

Final thoughts

Some posts may be long, others short, but all will come with insight born from an understanding of the past, hope for the future, and the spark of creativity.

I look forward to sharing with you in this space, and, if you don’t want to miss out on posts, you can subscribe to my Substack, where I’ll post a weekly digest and share any personal behind-the-scenes updates on my own creative work.

A reflection prompt

What do you like to create and how is it revolutionary?
